Frequently Asked Questions:
Free apps very often show only those places that have paid for advertising, or they have modest databases (often below 1,000 spots). Our concept is uncompromising comprehensiveness. We do not charge any fees from campsites, camper parks, or repair shops for being placed on the map. To keep the database free from commercial pressures, constantly update data, and develop the map, we introduced a fair annual subscription model for users. You pay once for reliability and a complete overview of the market.
We have collected nearly 3,000 caravanning spots in Poland. In the case of paid locations (campsites, tent fields, camper parks, etc.) as well as the professional repair shop and rental market, we can state with absolute confidence that our database covers about 99% of the entire Polish market. We are working very hard to get as close to 100% as possible as quickly as we can.
We want to make things clear: we are not, and we do not aspire to be, a complete database of unofficial wild camping spots. There are already other tools on the market dedicated to this. Wild spots reported en masse by users are often located on lands with unclear legal status, where motorhomes are not always welcome. On campAtlas, we only include spots that are safe and highly likely to willingly accommodate a camper or a caravan - such as forest parking lots, where you can stay safely and legally for up to 24 hours.
No, campAtlas is the tool of first choice for everyone—from people renting a camper for the weekend to regular trail goers. Because we care about reflecting the real state of the infrastructure, on the map you will find places with vastly different standards: the best ones, decent ones, but also campsites with debatable reviews or humbler sanitary facilities. Our role is to give you a full choice, and the decision on what meets your expectations belongs to you.
There is no need! campAtlas works as a modern web app (PWA). You don't have to install additional programs or burden your smartphone's memory. It's enough to open www.campatlas.eu in your phone's browser and choose the option "Add to Home Screen". Then a choice should appear: "Install app" or "Add shortcut". Always choose the "Install app" option. The icon will appear on your home screen and will work in full screen like a traditional app.
campAtlas works as a web app (PWA). On your phone, you may see two options: "Install campAtlas app" and "Add shortcut". For everything to work correctly:
-
Open the campAtlas website in your phone's browser.
-
Open the browser menu (three dots / share button).
-
Choose "Install campAtlas app" or "Add to home screen (app)".
-
Confirm the installation. Do not choose the "Add shortcut" option - it is just a regular link that might not work correctly. After installation, campAtlas will appear on your home screen like a normal app and will run in full-screen mode.

The system is fully automated because we respect your time on the trail. Once on the website, you can instantly make a purchase using secure online payments (we support BLIK and payment cards). Immediately after the transaction is authorized, the system will unlock the map page for you.
BLIK and traditional transfers.
Since the project launch and promotion start in June 2026 (which is already during the season), we want to offer the fairest possible terms. Every subscription purchased by the end of July 2026 will remain valid for 18 months, which in practice means until the end of 2027. This means that, depending on the moment of purchase, you gain full access for a period of 18 months.
A special form at the bottom of our page is used for verification and corrections. To make the reporting process smooth, please find the unique ID code on the specific spot's card on the map (it has a structure like CAP-0000) and enter it into the form. This will allow us to instantly locate the correct spot and apply the fixes.
Our database is also growing thanks to your help, so we would be very grateful if you could contact us at: kontakt@campatlas.eu
Please include the following in your email:
- Information about the location (whether it's year-round, seasonal, campsite, RV park, etc.)
- A Google Maps pin (our locations rely on Google Maps pins, so we can't add the location to the map without it)
- A link to the location's Facebook page and website (if available) is also appreciated.
IMPORTANT! We don't charge for adding a spot to the database.
IMPORTANT! Only locations accessible by car are added to the database (with one exception).
1. All-year campsite - the main category, a site open year-round that accommodates everyone (campervans, tents, trailers, etc.).
2. Seasonal campsite - a site that accommodates everyone (campervans, tents, trailers, etc.) and is open during a specific season.
3. All-year RV Park/Camperstop - a site that accommodates only campers (sometimes trailers as well), has restrooms, and is open year-round.
4. Seasonal RV Park/Camperstop- a site that accommodates only campers (sometimes trailers as well), has restrooms, and is open during a specific season.
5. Naturist Campsite - a site that accommodates everyone, where nudity is permitted.
6. Agrotourism Farm Stay- a site that accommodates any vehicle, most often meaning available food and attractions typical of agritourism (e.g., a farm).
7. Forest Campsite - these may be designated camping areas through state forests (paid or free), or it may be a private operation with poor quality conditions.
8. RV Parking - a space dedicated exclusively to campers (sometimes with the exception of trailers) without restrooms.
9. Waterfront/Marine Kayak - campsites/camping grounds at water stations on rivers, lakes, the sea, or marinas. These sites sometimes offer kayaking trips, and sometimes offer boat mooring.
10. Fishery - camping grounds at fishing spots.
11. Vineyard - sites near vineyards, most often for campers, sometimes also offering tent sites.
12. Wild Camping/Forest Parking Lot - a place where you can park for 24 hours without any amenities
13. RV Service Point/Dump Station - a place where you can dump gray water, empty the toilet, draw water, and sometimes connect your campervan to a power supply
14.RV & CaravanRepair Shop - a place for repairing campers/caravans
15.RV & Caravan Rental - a place for renting vehicles
Yes, but these are only:
- service points located within RV parking lots (as they are open)
- workshops and rental shops, because a given point may offer both services
Thank you very much for choosing campAtlas! We'd be happy to add your spot! In this case, please contact us at: kontakt@campatlas.eu
